The SUPERIOR ESSEX L4144PP01 is a 144-strand OM4 multimode fiber optic cable rated OFCP (Optical Fiber Conductive Plenum) for installation in plenum air-handling spaces. Constructed to meet the optical and fire-safety requirements demanded in commercial and enterprise network infrastructure, this cable delivers the high-bandwidth performance of OM4 glass fiber in a plenum-rated jacket. It is sold individually by the unit and is intended for installation by licensed low-voltage cabling contractors and network infrastructure technicians working in commercial environments.
This cable is suited for backbone and horizontal runs in commercial buildings, data centers, and campus environments where plenum-rated pathways are required by code. The OM4 multimode fiber designation supports high-speed transmission over short to medium distances, making it a practical choice for structured cabling systems in office buildings, healthcare facilities, and education campuses. Installation in plenum-rated spaces requires OFCP-rated cable per NFPA 90A and applicable local fire codes.
Designed as an OEM-style plenum fiber optic cable suitable for 144-strand OM4 multimode fiber distribution systems in commercial structured cabling installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage cabling contractor or qualified network infrastructure technician familiar with TIA-568 and NFPA 70 (NEC) Article 770 requirements for optical fiber cable. Power down or de-energize adjacent active equipment before pulling cable through conduit or plenum pathways. Do not exceed the cable minimum bend radius during pulling or final dress, as exceeding bend limits can cause permanent attenuation increases in the fiber. Plenum-rated cable must be used in all air-handling spaces as required by the applicable fire code and the authority having jurisdiction.
