The riser rating qualifies this cable for vertical runs between floors without conduit where permitted by code. This cable is suited for indoor/outdoor installations where a single continuous cable must move from an exterior entry point into a building riser pathway. Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage or registered communications cabling technician familiar with TIA-568 and NFPA 70 (NEC) Article 770 requirements for optical fiber riser cables. De-energize any adjacent electrical equipment and follow building fire-stop requirements when penetrating rated floor assemblies. Observe the cable minimum bend radius during pulling and avoid exceeding the rated tensile load during installation pulls. Terminate with compatible OM3-rated connectors and test with an 850 nm OTDR or insertion-loss test set per TIA-526-14 after installation.
