The SUPER LUBE 54401 is a synthetic gear oil formulated to ISO 460 viscosity grade for use in high-load, high-temperature mechanical drive systems. It carries NSF registration for incidental food contact applications, making it suitable for food processing and beverage plant environments alongside standard industrial use. The oil operates across a wide temperature range of -45 degrees F to 450 degrees F with a flash point of 450 degrees F, and its synthetic base provides stable viscosity performance under extreme pressure conditions. Licensed HVAC mechanics, millwrights, and industrial maintenance technicians are the typical end users.
This gear oil is designed for gear boxes, worm gears, spur gears, helical gears, herringbone gears, and straight and spiral bevel gears. It also covers chain drives, circulating systems, oil-lubricated bearings, high-temperature chains, and electrically submersible pumps. The combination of extreme pressure additive performance and food-grade NSF registration makes it a practical single-source lubricant for facilities that need to meet both mechanical and sanitation requirements. It ships in a 1-gallon bottle, suitable for direct dispensing or bulk transfer to equipment reservoirs.
Designed for use in gear boxes, worm gears, spur gears, helical gears, herringbone gears, straight and spiral bevel gears, chain drives, circulating systems, oil-lubricated bearings, high-temperature chains, and electrically submersible pumps where an ISO 460 synthetic gear oil is specified.
Application is performed by millwrights, maintenance technicians, or qualified service personnel. Before servicing any gear box or lubricated bearing assembly, de-energize the equipment and follow lockout/tagout procedures per applicable OSHA and facility safety standards. Verify the equipment OEM specification calls for ISO 460 viscosity before filling. Do not mix with petroleum-based or incompatible synthetic lubricants without first flushing the reservoir.
