The SUMITOMO U104391 is an external right-hand indexable face grooving toolholder designed for precision grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The toolholder features a maximum depth of cut of 17.78mm (0.700 inches) and a minimum groove width of 3.00mm (0.118 inches), making it well-suited for tight-tolerance face grooving applications. The shank measures 1 inch by 1 inch square and the overall length is 6 inches. The body is constructed from steel and does not include coolant-through capability.

This toolholder is intended for external face grooving operations where the cutting direction is right-hand. It is used in production and job-shop turning environments on workpieces up to 11.811 inches in maximum diameter, with a maximum groove outside diameter of 300.00mm and a minimum axial groove inside diameter of 180.00mm.
