The SUMITOMO 19RJBPF is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal-cutting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to ANSI code CCMT32.52ESU and ISO code CCMT09T308N-SU, this insert features an 80-degree diamond shape with a neutral hand orientation and a positive rake angle of 8 degrees. The AC820P grade substrate is coated with aluminum oxide (Al2O3) via a CVD process, providing thermal resistance and wear life suited to steel turning applications. The ESU chip breaker geometry promotes controlled chip formation during finishing and semi-finishing cuts. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in production shops and job shops are the primary installers of this insert.
This insert is intended for steel turning applications, identified by secondary workpiece material code P. The CCMT style with a 7-degree relief angle (clearance code C) and tolerance code M suits applications requiring consistent dimensional accuracy in finishing and light semi-finishing passes. The screw-clamping insert holding method fits standard CCMT-compatible tool holders. It is sold individually per package with a minimum order quantity of 10 units, making it suitable for production environments where consistent insert replenishment is required.
Designed for use in CCMT-compatible screw-clamp turning tool holders. Suited for steel workpiece materials per secondary workpiece material code P. Verify holder compatibility against ANSI code CCMT32.52ESU or ISO code CCMT09T308N-SU before ordering.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician with the machine in a locked-out, zero-energy state before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the tool holder manufacturer's specified procedure without overtightening, which can crack the insert. Inspect the insert pocket and shim for damage or debris before seating a new insert. Always verify insert orientation and hand before resuming cutting operations.
