The SUMITOMO 19RB841 is a TNMG-style triangular turning insert manufactured from solid carbide with a CVD coating in grade AC830P. It carries an ANSI code of TNMG332ENG and ISO code TNMG160408N-UG. The insert measures 0.6496 inches in length with a 3/8 inch (0.3750 inch) inscribed circle, a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) thickness, and a 1/32 inch (0.0313 inch) corner radius. The neutral hand orientation and 0-degree relief angle (clearance code N, tolerance code M) make it suitable for a range of turning operations. It is installed by machinists and CNC turning center operators working in production and job-shop environments.
This insert is designed for external and internal turning applications where consistent tool life and chip control are priorities. The ENG chip breaker geometry is optimized for medium cutting conditions. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque and seating procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before indexing or replacing inserts. Inspect the toolholder pocket for chips, debris, or wear before seating the insert, as contamination in the pocket affects cutting geometry and surface finish. Always verify insert orientation and hand before resuming cutting operations.
