The SUMITOMO 19R5CHU is a VNMG330.5EEF carbide turning insert coated with Absotech Platinum finish via CVD process and graded AC6020M. It is engineered for finishing operations on stainless steel workpieces, where high wear resistance and controlled toughness are required. The insert features a 35-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a neutral hand orientation, a 0.0078-inch corner radius, and a negative rake and clearance geometry. It seats via pin and screw holding methods. Machinists and CNC lathe operators use this insert in precision turning applications where surface finish quality and tool life on difficult materials are the primary concerns.

This insert is suited for finishing cuts on stainless steel and other M-group materials in both production and job-shop CNC turning environments.
