This insert features an 80-degree diamond shape (Insert Shape Code C), a neutral hand orientation, and a CVD-applied coating that delivers wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. The 0.5079-inch insert length, 0.5000-inch inscribed circle, and 0.0313-inch corner radius make it a standard CN-series insert suited to medium to finishing turning passes. It is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians on indexable insert toolholders using a clamp and pin holding method.

This insert is primarily applied to stainless steel workpieces (ISO Material Code M), including austenitic and duplex grades commonly encountered in aerospace, medical device, food processing, and general industrial machining. Installation Notes
