This insert carries the DA1000 manufacturer grade and features an 80-degree diamond shape (CCMT insert style) with a neutral cutting hand and a positive rake angle. It has an inscribed circle of 3/8 inches, a corner radius of 1/64 inches, and an insert thickness of 5/32 inches (0.1563 inches decimal). The uncoated PCD construction delivers sharp, consistent cutting performance on aluminum, copper, and similar non-ferrous alloys. Machinists and tooling technicians install this insert in compatible CCMT toolholders for turning applications on CNC lathes and manual lathes.
This insert is intended for turning operations on non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. The GD chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip formation at typical finishing and semi-finishing depths of cut. This insert is installed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians using standard CCMT toolholders with pin-and-screw clamping. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts.
