It carries the ACP200 manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied coating for extended tool life and edge stability. The insert features a parallelogram shape in the AXMT style with an 85-degree included angle and an 11-degree relief angle. At 0.219 inches thick and 0.402 inches wide, with a cutting edge effective length of 0.689 inches and a corner radius of 0.126 inches, this insert is suited for precision face and shoulder milling. Installed by machinists and tool-room professionals, it fits the WEX2000 cutter series and is designed for right-hand cutting operations with a maximum depth of cut of 0.551 inches (14.00 mm).
This insert is intended primarily for milling of steel workpieces, corresponding to primary workpiece material code P. It is appropriate for use in both production shop and job-shop environments where consistent chip formation and edge integrity are required. The G chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation during face milling and shoulder milling passes. Compatible with the WEX2000 cutter series, it is suitable for horizontal and vertical machining center applications where right-hand toolpath conventions are used.
Designed for use with the SUMITOMO WEX2000 cutter series. Intended for right-hand milling operations on steel workpieces. Insert size code 1235, insert size designation 170532.
Milling inserts of this type are seated and torqued by machinists or tooling technicians following the cutter body manufacturer's specified clamping procedure for the WEX2000 series. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing inserts. Use the correct Torx or hex key supplied with the cutter body to avoid seat damage. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating a replacement insert.
