The SUMITOMO 1433328 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for precision metal removal in milling applications. Built to an H1 manufacturer grade and left uncoated, it delivers consistent performance without the added thermal properties of a coating layer. The insert follows an AXET style in a parallelogram shape, with an inscribed circle diameter of 0.4724 inches and a thickness of 0.138 inches. The 11-degree relief angle supports clean chip formation and reduces cutting forces during operation. Licensed machinists and tooling technicians working with non-ferrous materials will find this insert well-suited to their applications.
This insert is intended for milling operations on non-ferrous metals, classified under primary workpiece material code K and N. Its uncoated bright finish makes it particularly effective on materials such as aluminum, copper alloys, and other non-ferrous substrates where coating adhesion or built-up edge would otherwise be a concern. The AXET insert style is commonly used in face milling and shoulder milling tool bodies configured for that seating geometry. This is a single-piece package sold in minimum order quantities of 10 units.
Designed for use in AXET-style milling toolholders accepting a parallelogram insert with an inscribed circle in the 0.4000 to 0.5000 inch range and a thickness in the 0.1250 to 0.1500 inch range. Verify toolholder seating geometry and insert size code 1235 before installation.
Insert installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician following the toolholder manufacturer's torque and seating specifications. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Inspect the toolholder pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating the new insert. Do not force the insert into the pocket, as improper seating can cause insert fracture or workpiece damage.
