The STRONG SR-CUSTOM-32U-24IN is a 32U floor standing equipment rack designed to house and organize rackmount components in structured cabling, AV, and low-voltage systems installations. At 32U of usable rack space and a 24-inch depth, it provides capacity for a wide range of standard 19-inch rackmount equipment including patch panels, switches, amplifiers, power distribution units, and signal processors. This rack is sold individually and is intended for permanent floor installation in server rooms, equipment closets, or dedicated AV equipment spaces. Low-voltage technicians and systems integrators are the primary installers.
This floor standing rack is suited for residential and light commercial low-voltage installations where organized equipment mounting is required. Typical applications include home theater equipment rooms, structured wiring closets, commercial AV racks, and network distribution points. Its 32U height accommodates mid-to-large equipment loads without requiring wall mounting, making it appropriate for installations where wall space or structural anchoring is unavailable or impractical.
Designed as an OEM-style floor standing rack compatible with standard 19-inch EIA-310 rackmount equipment across AV, networking, and low-voltage system applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or systems integrator. Before populating the rack with equipment, ensure the floor surface is level and capable of supporting the combined weight of the rack and all installed components. Power down all equipment prior to installation or service. Follow local building codes and manufacturer guidelines for floor anchoring where seismic or stability requirements apply.
