The STREAMLIGHT 68793 is a rechargeable handheld LED flashlight built for demanding work environments where intrinsic safety is a code requirement. It delivers up to 275 lumens across three light modes: a 105-lumen flood, a 180-lumen spot, and a combined 275-lumen spot/flood mode. The polycarbonate body is non-conductive and shock-resistant, making it well suited for use in classified hazardous locations. Rated Class 1, Division 1 intrinsically safe, this light meets ANSI/PLATO FL1-2016 standards and applicable European Community Directives. A single lithium-ion battery powers the unit, and a full charge supports up to 13.5 hours of run time depending on mode selected. Includes an AC/USB adapter, charger/holder, and lanyard.
The 68793 is designed for use by electricians, instrumentation techs, and other trade professionals who work in environments with flammable gases, vapors, or dusts — areas where non-intrinsically safe lighting is prohibited. The integrated belt clip keeps the light accessible during hands-on work in tight spaces. Its three selectable output modes allow the user to balance light output against battery life based on task demands. The included charger/holder enables convenient bench or wall storage between uses.
Designed as a self-contained handheld lighting solution for use in Class 1, Division 1 hazardous locations; compatible with the included AC/USB charging adapter and charger/holder supplied in the kit.
No installation is required for handheld operation. Before using in a classified hazardous location, verify the intrinsic safety rating meets the area classification requirements defined by the Authority Having Jurisdiction and applicable NEC articles. Charge the unit fully using only the included AC/USB adapter and charger/holder. Do not attempt to disassemble the light or substitute non-approved battery types, as doing so may void the intrinsic safety rating.
