The STONE TOOLS tp-618 is a bi-metal reciprocating saw blade built for industrial cutting applications. Measuring 6 inches long by 3/4 inches wide at 0.035 inches thick, it runs an 18 teeth-per-inch (TPI) configuration suited for controlled cuts through thin-wall and medium-wall metal stock. The blade uses Matrix II cobalt bi-metal construction, bonding a high-speed steel tooth edge to a flexible alloy steel body. This combination resists tooth breakage and body fatigue during aggressive reciprocating saw use. Fabricators, pipefitters, electricians, and maintenance techs reach for this blade when cutting structural steel, pipe, conduit, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metals. It is manufactured in the USA.
The tp-618 is designed for metal cutting in trade and light industrial environments. Typical applications include cutting structural steel sections, electrical conduit, pipe, and non-ferrous metal stock ranging from 1/16 inch to 5/16 inch wall thickness. Stainless steel cutting is supported within the 1/16 inch to 3/16 inch thickness range. The 18 TPI count keeps tooth engagement consistent on thin-wall tubing and small-diameter pipe, reducing blade stripping and workpiece grabbing during cuts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use blade compatible with standard universal-shank reciprocating saws accepting 6-inch bi-metal blades.
Installation is performed by electricians, pipefitters, fabricators, and general maintenance trades using standard reciprocating saws. Ensure the saw is powered off and the blade chuck is fully released before inserting or removing the blade. Secure the blade firmly in the chuck before operation and verify the workpiece is clamped or stabilized to prevent movement during cutting. Follow applicable safety codes and wear appropriate PPE including eye and hand protection when operating reciprocating saws on metal stock.
