The STEWART FASTENER 7414 is a fully threaded, torque-controlled wedge expansion anchor engineered for consistent performance in both cracked and uncracked concrete. The anchor body and expansion clip are manufactured from carbon steel with a zinc plated finish, providing corrosion resistance in standard interior and exterior applications. At 3/8 inches in diameter and 3-1/2 inches in length, this anchor is sized for common structural and mechanical fastening tasks in concrete and masonry substrates. Each anchor ships with a nut and washer included, ready for immediate installation without additional hardware sourcing.
This anchor is suitable for use in normal-weight concrete, sand-lightweight concrete, concrete over steel deck, and grouted concrete masonry. It is well suited for anchoring structural supports, mechanical equipment, electrical conduit supports, and similar trade applications where a reliable load-rated expansion anchor is required. The hex nut head style is compatible with standard drive tools used in commercial and industrial construction.
Designed as an OEM-style wedge expansion anchor for use in normal-weight concrete, sand-lightweight concrete, concrete over steel deck, and grouted concrete masonry applications requiring a 3/8 inches diameter fastener.
Installation is typically performed by licensed contractors or trade professionals using a hammer drill and appropriately sized carbide-tipped bit to bore the hole to the required depth before setting the anchor. Power down all adjacent electrical systems and confirm no embedded conduit or rebar conflicts before drilling. Drive the anchor to the specified embedment depth and apply torque to the nut using a calibrated torque wrench in accordance with the project engineer's specifications and applicable building codes. Do not substitute base material types not listed in the product specifications, as anchor performance ratings are substrate-dependent.
