The Sterling sus-7 is a 7-foot hydronic baseboard heater designed for residential and light commercial hot water heating systems. It ships as a complete unit with a 3/4 inch copper element already installed, so installers can get straight to work without sourcing additional components. The unit is engineered to deliver 3,920 net BTU per hour at 180 degrees Fahrenheit water temperature and 1 gallon per minute flow rate, making it a reliable performer in standard forced hot water systems. The element is constructed with copper tubing and aluminum fins, a proven combination that transfers heat efficiently from the circulating water to the surrounding air. The cabinet is painted white and measures 2 and 13/16 inches thick by 7 and 7/8 inches tall, fitting neatly along walls without protruding into living space. At 17 and 1/2 pounds, the unit is manageable for a single installer to handle and mount. The connection type is sweat, so plumbers and HVAC technicians can make a clean, leak-free solder joint directly to 3/4 inch copper supply and return lines. This baseboard is well suited for zone heating applications, replacement of aging cast iron radiators, or new construction projects where in-floor radiant heat is not specified. Note that a splice plate is not included with this unit and must be ordered separately if you are connecting multiple baseboard sections end to end. The sus-7 follows standard baseboard heating installation practices and is compatible with common hot water boiler systems running at typical operating temperatures between 160 and 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
