The STERLING 55wj-1-4a is a 4-foot hydronic baseboard enclosure designed for residential heating installations. This enclosure-only unit forms the outer housing for a hydronic baseboard heating system, providing the structural shell that contains the heating element and directs convective airflow into the living space. Finished in classic white, the enclosure features radius-formed end covers and a slim, low-profile silhouette suited to installations where wall space is limited. Heavy-gauge brackets snap into place without sheet metal screws, and telescoping fill-in sections eliminate the need to cut material on the job. Licensed plumbers and hydronic heating technicians are the typical installers.
This enclosure is intended for residential hydronic baseboard heating applications where a clean, low-height profile is required. The Kom-pak line is engineered for standard residential spaces, fitting along exterior walls, under windows, and in areas where conventional baseboard depth is impractical. The white finish complements standard interior trim. The 4-foot section length works as a standalone run or as part of a longer baseboard layout using telescoping fill-in sections and splice plates available separately for extended runs.
Designed as an OEM-style enclosure for the Sterling Kom-pak hydronic baseboard heating line in residential applications. Splice plates are provided with 8-foot, 6-foot, and 5-foot lengths. Telescoping sections are available in 14-foot lengths. Confirm element and enclosure series compatibility before ordering.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or hydronic heating technician. Shut off and depressurize the hydronic system before disconnecting or modifying any baseboard connections. Follow local mechanical codes and manufacturer assembly instructions when securing enclosure brackets and end caps. Do not overtighten or force snap-in brackets, as this can distort the enclosure profile.
