The STEINER 15A82-10 is an aluminized fiberglass and carbonized fiber glove pad designed to protect the back of the hand from radiant heat, sparks, and spatter during welding and high-heat fabrication work. Measuring 10 inches in length, this unlined pad fits over standard welding gloves without adding bulk that would restrict movement. The aluminized backing reflects radiant heat while the carbonized fiber construction provides thermal resistance at the pad surface. Welders, pipefitters, and fabricators use this pad as a supplemental layer when working in close proximity to open flame, molten metal, or high-temperature pipe. The ambidextrous design means a single pad works on either hand.
This glove pad is suited for use in structural steel fabrication, pipe welding, foundry work, and other industrial environments where sustained radiant heat exposure is a concern. The universal sizing accommodates a wide range of glove styles. It is typically used as an add-on protective layer over existing leather or multi-layer welding gloves when base glove protection alone is insufficient for the heat intensity of the task.
Designed as an over-glove protective pad for use with standard welding gloves in high-radiant-heat industrial and fabrication applications.
This pad is worn over an existing welding glove and does not replace primary hand protection. Ensure the pad is fully seated over the back of the hand and secured before beginning work. Inspect the pad before each use for signs of heat damage, delamination, or fiber breakdown, and replace if structural integrity is compromised. No tools are required for application.
