The STEEL CITY TC1110A is a 4-inch trade size compression-type straight connector for EMT conduit, constructed from zinc plated steel with an extra-thick electro-plated zinc finish and clear chromate coating for corrosion resistance. Rated UL and designated concrete tight, this fitting is engineered for demanding commercial, industrial, and residential electrical installations. The non-insulated throat design and heavy-duty hex body allow secure hand or tool installation with consistent torque grip. A built-in pipe stop — a strong, thick protrusion that does not exceed EMT wall thickness — prevents conduit from breaking through the opposite side while keeping conductor pulling unobstructed.
This connector is intended for use on EMT conduit in commercial, industrial, and residential construction wiring applications. The concrete tight rating makes it suitable for installations where fittings may be embedded in or exposed to concrete, wet locations, or other demanding environments. Electricians and electrical contractors specify this fitting where code requires a secure, corrosion-resistant EMT termination. It is sold in a standard package of 5 units per outer pack.
Designed for use on 4-inch trade size EMT conduit in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) requirements for EMT conduit systems. De-energize all circuits before beginning conduit work. Slide the connector onto the conduit end and tighten the compression nut using an appropriately sized wrench until the fitting is mechanically secure and concrete tight. Do not over-tighten to the point of deforming the conduit wall.
