The STEEL CITY 6H3-BSS is a conduit and pipe hanger designed for securing rigid conduit and EMT in both vertical and horizontal installations. Constructed from 302 stainless steel with an electrogalvanized finish, this hanger delivers corrosion resistance suitable for demanding environments. Installation is accomplished using a clamping bolt with hex nut, and the built-in nut design reduces loose parts during the install process. The 6H3-BSS carries a 500-pound load capacity and holds UL and CSA approvals, making it appropriate for use on commercial and industrial electrical systems. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers for this type of hardware.
The 6H3-BSS is sized for 1-1/4 inch rigid conduit and 1-1/2 inch EMT. It is part of the Series 6H product line and accommodates 1/2 inch through 4 inch EMT or rigid conduit across the broader series. The hanger supports both vertical and horizontal mounting orientations, giving installers flexibility in raceway routing. It is suited for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations where conduit support hardware must meet UL and CSA listing requirements.
Designed for use with 1-1/4 inch rigid conduit and 1-1/2 inch EMT. Within the broader Series 6H line, hangers accommodate 1/2 inch through 4 inch EMT or rigid conduit. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation conduit support hanger where UL and CSA listing is required.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements for conduit support spacing and mounting. De-energize all circuits in the work area before securing or repositioning conduit runs. The built-in nut design allows single-tool installation using a standard flathead or Phillips screwdriver. Verify that the mounting surface and fastener hardware are rated for the intended load before final installation.
