The STARRETT 991898-07-09 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade built for metal-cutting applications in industrial and fabrication environments. It measures 93 inches in length and 3/4 inch wide with a blade thickness of 0.035 inches. The blade is manufactured from M42 high-speed steel bi-metal construction, combining a hardened tooth edge with a flexible alloy steel backer for durability under continuous cutting loads. The variable pitch tooth pattern runs 5 to 8 TPI with a raker tooth set and straight tooth form. Licensed saw technicians, maintenance mechanics, and metalworking fabricators are the typical installers and operators of this blade.
This blade is suited for contour cutting and general metal sawing on horizontal and vertical bandsaw machines that accept a 93-inch blade loop. Variable pitch tooth geometry reduces vibration and harmonics during cutting, making it a practical choice for structural steel, tubing, solid bar stock, and mixed cross-sections. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both production shop and job-site bandsaw equipment configured for 3/4-inch wide blades.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement bandsaw blade for horizontal or vertical bandsaws that accept a 93-inch blade length and 3/4-inch blade width configuration.
Blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician following the bandsaw manufacturer's tensioning and tracking procedures. Power down and lock out the bandsaw completely before removing the old blade or seating the new one. Inspect blade guides, wheel tires, and blade guides for wear before installing a new blade. Do not exceed the bandsaw wheel speed rating for the selected blade TPI and material combination.
