The STARRETT 63262 is a horizontal-style dial test indicator designed for precision measurement in machining, inspection, and toolroom applications. It covers a maximum measurement range of 0.03 inches with a graduation of 0.0005 inches, making it well suited for detecting small surface variations, runout, and alignment deviations. The balanced 0-15-0 dial face allows technicians to read deflection in either direction from center zero without repositioning the indicator. The black dial face provides strong contrast for quick, accurate readings. Machinists, metrology technicians, and quality control inspectors are the primary users of this type of instrument.
This dial test indicator fits horizontal mounting configurations and is used in conjunction with magnetic bases, indicator stands, and machine tool setups on mills, lathes, surface plates, and CMM fixtures. The 1-3/8 inch dial diameter keeps the face readable without adding excessive bulk to compact setups.
