The STARRETT 57625 is an A2 air-hardening tool steel flat stock bar used in toolmaking, die work, punch fabrication, and precision machining applications. Measuring 0.75 inches thick by 1.25 inches wide by 18 inches long, this flat stock is ground to close tolerances and supplied in the annealed condition, ready for machining before heat treatment. A2 tool steel offers good dimensional stability during air hardening and a balance of wear resistance and toughness suited to cold-work tooling.
