The STARRETT 54911 is a low carbon steel flat stock bar cut to 24 inches long, 1-1/4 inches wide, and 5/32 inch thick. It is manufactured from AISI Type C1018 steel, a mild, low carbon grade known for good machinability, weldability, and consistent mechanical properties. This flat stock is held to tight tolerances: thickness and square tolerance of plus or minus 0.001 inch, width tolerance of plus 0.000 to 0.005 inch, and length tolerance of plus 0.625 inch.
