The STARRETT 54352 is an O1 oil-hardening tool steel flat stock bar used in toolmaking, die making, jig fabrication, and precision machining applications. Manufactured to AISI Type O1 specification, this flat stock measures 3/16 inch thick, 10 inches wide, and 36 inches long, with a weight of 19.12 pounds. Tight dimensional tolerances are held throughout: thickness tolerance of plus or minus 0.001 inches, length tolerance of plus 0.015 inches, and width tolerance of 0.000 to 0.015 inches. Edge squareness is held to 0.003 inches per inch. This material is supplied in the annealed condition and is intended for machinists, tool and die makers, and fabricators who require consistent, close-tolerance stock before heat treatment.
O1 tool steel flat stock is commonly used in production of punches, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and cutting tools.
