The STARRETT 54076 is an O1 oil-hardening tool steel flat stock bar sized at 0.25 inches thick, 2 inches wide, and 18 inches long. O1 is a general-purpose tool steel known for good machinability in the annealed state and reliable hardening response when quenched in oil. This flat stock is pre-dimensioned to close tolerances, making it ready for layout, machining, and fabrication of cutting tools, punches, dies, gauges, and jigs.
