It covers a measurement range of 0 to 0.125 inches with a dial graduation of 0.0005 inches, giving technicians fine resolution for detecting runout, flatness deviation, and part-to-part variation. The 0-25-0 bidirectional dial reading allows deflection to be read in either direction from zero. A revolution counter tracks full spindle cycles, and the 1-11/16 inch diameter white dial with no-glare satin finish keeps readings legible under shop lighting. The unbreakable crystal and stainless steel stem add durability in production environments.
This indicator suits toolroom, machine shop, and quality-control applications where short-range, high-resolution drop measurement is required. The lug back mounts to standard indicator holders and magnetic bases. A flat back is included for surface-plate and bench-block setups. Designed as a standard AGD Group 1 dial drop indicator compatible with conventional lug-back indicator holders, magnetic bases, and surface-plate stands accepting a 0.375 inch stem diameter.
Mounting and use does not require electrical isolation, but the indicator should be secured in a rigid holder or magnetic base to prevent false readings from vibration or fixture movement. Ensure the spindle axis is perpendicular to the measured surface for accurate results. Do not force the spindle beyond its stated range. Calibration checks against a known reference gauge block are recommended before critical inspection work.
