The STARRETT 20731 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for continuous cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in industrial and production shop environments. Measuring 150 inches long and 1.25 inches wide with a 0.042-inch thickness, this blade mounts on horizontal and vertical band saws designed for that loop length. The cutting edge runs a 4 to 6 TPI variable pitch pattern with a raker tooth set and positive rake angle, reducing vibration and harmonic chatter during the cut. The tooth tips are high speed steel, bonded to a flexible back for fatigue resistance through repeated flexing around the saw wheels. Blade weight is 5.5 pounds.
This blade is part of the Starrett Intenss PRO series, targeting ferrous and non-ferrous metal cutting in manufacturing, fabrication, and maintenance shops. The variable pitch tooth spacing breaks up resonance when transitioning between solid stock, tubing, and structural sections. Blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician with the band saw fully de-energized and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Do not exceed the blade speed rating for the material being cut.
