The STARRETT 20631 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for continuous cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Part of the Intenss PRO series, it combines a flexible alloy steel back with high speed steel teeth for durability under sustained load. The blade measures 12 feet 10 inches in length, 1 inch wide, and 0.035 inches thick, with a variable pitch of 4 to 6 TPI. The variable pitch design reduces harmonic vibration during the cut, which extends blade life and improves surface finish on structural shapes, tubing, and solid bar stock. Licensed metalworking shops and maintenance facilities stock this blade for production and MRO cutting operations.
This blade is suited for horizontal and vertical bandsaw applications in metalworking environments, both shop and industrial. It is intended for machines that accept a 12-foot 10-inch loop blade at 1-inch width. The Intenss PRO series targets ferrous metals such as mild steel, structural steel, and alloy bar, as well as non-ferrous materials including aluminum and copper alloys. Raker tooth set and positive rake angle support efficient chip clearance at moderate to aggressive feed rates across a range of cross-sections.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit blade for bandsaws accepting a 12-foot 10-inch loop, 1-inch wide, 0.035-inch thick blade. Suitable for cutting ferrous metal and non-ferrous metal as specified by the manufacturer.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified metalworking technician or maintenance professional. Disconnect and lock out power to the bandsaw before removing the worn blade or installing the new one. Follow the bandsaw manufacturer's tension and tracking specifications when seating the blade on the wheels. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled or looped bandsaw blades, as tooth edges remain sharp at rest.
