The STARRETT 19473 is a welded bandsaw blade from the Duratec SFB series, designed for continuous-loop use on stationary band saws in professional shop and trade environments. The blade measures 81 inches in length and 0.5 inches in width, with a blade thickness of 0.025 inches. It runs a constant pitch of 6 teeth per inch with a hook tooth form and raker tooth set, delivering efficient chip clearance during moderate-feed cuts. Both the blade body and teeth are carbon steel construction. The flexible back type allows the blade to track smoothly on standard two-wheel and three-wheel band saws used by fabricators, pipefitters, and general tradespeople.
This blade is suited for contour cutting applications across a range of materials including ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, plastic, and plywood. The positive rake angle and hook tooth geometry make it well-matched to resawing and profile cutting tasks in light fabrication shops, HVAC shops, and general mechanical trade environments. The constant pitch pattern produces consistent cut quality across the full stroke, making it practical for repetitive production cuts as well as one-off service work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install welded bandsaw blade for stationary band saws that accept a 0.5-inch wide blade with an 81-inch loop length. Suitable for cutting ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, plastic, and plywood.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with the specific saw model. Disconnect power to the saw before removing the blade guard or handling the blade. Verify wheel diameter and blade length compatibility before mounting, and confirm blade tracking and tension per the saw manufacturer specifications before operating. Always wear cut-resistant gloves when handling uncoiled or loose bandsaw blades.
