Bandsaw blade replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or fabricator with the machine fully powered down and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify wheel spacing, blade guides, and blade tension settings are appropriate for a 1 inch wide blade before installing. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled or looped blade. Allow the blade to run unloaded for a short break-in period before applying full cutting load.
