The STARRETT 16720 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for cutting ferrous and non-ferrous metals in professional shop and fabrication environments. Measuring 105 inches long and 3/4 inches wide with a 0.035-inch thickness, this blade runs on standard horizontal and vertical metal-cutting bandsaws. The variable pitch tooth pattern at 6 to 10 TPI reduces harmonic vibration and improves chip evacuation during cuts through varying material thicknesses. High speed steel teeth are set in a raker pattern and ground to a straight tooth form with a positive rake angle, delivering consistent cut quality on structural steel, tubing, and aluminum stock. Licensed machinists, pipefitters, and fabricators are the primary installers and operators.

This blade is suited for production and maintenance cutting of ferrous metals such as structural steel, tool steel, and pipe, as well as non-ferrous materials including aluminum, brass, and copper.
