The STARRETT 16719 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade built for continuous cutting in demanding shop and industrial environments. Part of the Intenss PRO-DIE series, it measures 125 inches long and 1/2 inch wide, with a 0.035-inch thickness and a variable pitch of 8 to 12 TPI. The cutting teeth are M42 high speed steel with a positive rake angle and raker set, which promotes aggressive chip clearance and consistent cut quality through a wide range of metal stock. Licensed tradespeople and skilled machinists working production or toolroom applications will find this blade suited to sustained metal-cutting cycles.
This blade is designed for metal-cutting vertical or horizontal bandsaws accepting a 125-inch loop. The variable 8-12 TPI pitch reduces harmonic vibration during the cut, making it effective across varying cross-sections and wall thicknesses. Rated material applications include steel, stainless steel, exotic steel, and non-ferrous metals. Contour cutting is supported, making it a workable choice for radius cuts and profiling operations in addition to straight stock cuts.
Designed as a welded-loop replacement blade for metal-cutting bandsaws requiring a 125-inch blade length and 1/2-inch blade width.
Blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the bandsaw fully de-energized and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide spacing, and tension settings match the blade width and thickness before powering the machine. Do not exceed the saw manufacturer's rated blade speed for the material being cut. Inspect blade welds and tooth condition before each use.
