The STARRETT 16433 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for continuous cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Measuring 9 feet 9 inches in length and 3/4 inch wide with a 0.035 inch thickness, this blade mounts on horizontal and vertical band saws used in metal fabrication, maintenance shops, and production cutting environments. The blade features an M42 high-speed steel tooth edge with a variable pitch of 5 to 8 TPI, reducing vibration and improving cut quality across a range of material thicknesses. A raker tooth set and positive rake angle promote efficient chip clearance and consistent feed rates. Licensed HVAC techs, machinists, and metalworkers rely on this blade for demanding ferrous and non-ferrous cutting tasks.
The 16433 is part of the Starrett Intenss series, designed for general-purpose metal cutting in job shops, fabrication facilities, and maintenance operations. The variable pitch pattern makes it effective on structural shapes, solid bar stock, and tubing where a fixed-pitch blade would generate excessive vibration or noise. The flexible back type reduces blade fatigue during tight-radius contour cutting. This blade is suited for both ferrous metals such as mild steel and alloy steel, as well as non-ferrous materials including aluminum and copper alloys.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or aftermarket fit for band saws accepting a 9 foot 9 inch blade length with a 3/4 inch blade width.
Band saw blade installation should be performed by qualified personnel with the saw fully powered down and unplugged before handling. Verify blade tension, guide bearing clearance, and wheel alignment according to the saw manufacturer specifications before operating. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling and coiling bandsaw blades. Inspect blade welds for integrity before mounting.
