The STARRETT 16413 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for metal-cutting applications on vertical and horizontal bandsaws. It runs 93 inches long and 3/4 inch wide with a blade thickness of 0.035 inches, making it a direct-fit replacement for saws requiring that exact loop length. The variable pitch tooth pattern at 6 to 10 TPI reduces vibration and chatter across varying stock thicknesses. High speed steel teeth are electron-beam welded to a flexible alloy steel back, delivering heat resistance at the cutting edge while the back absorbs flex stress through the blade guides. Raker tooth set and positive rake angle promote aggressive, consistent chip clearance on both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This blade is part of the Intenss PRO series, designed for demanding production and fabrication environments.
The STARRETT 16413 is suited for cutting ferrous metals such as carbon steel, alloy steel, and structural shapes, as well as non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, and copper. The variable pitch design handles a range of cross-sections in a single setup, making it practical for job shops and maintenance facilities that cut multiple material types without changing blades. Straight tooth form is appropriate for general contour and straight cuts; note that this blade is not rated for contour cutting applications requiring tight radii.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement welded bandsaw blade for metal-cutting bandsaws requiring a 93-inch blade loop, 3/4-inch width, and 0.035-inch thickness.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with blade tensioning and guide adjustment procedures. Disconnect and lock out power to the saw before removing the old blade or installing a new one. Set blade tension and guide clearances per the saw manufacturer specifications before running the blade under load. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled or uncoiled bandsaw blades, as the teeth present a laceration hazard.
