The STARRETT 16138 is part of the Intenss PRO-DIE series, designed for contour cutting applications on vertical bandsaws. The variable 10-14 TPI pitch reduces harmonic vibration during the cut, making it effective across a range of metal wall thicknesses and profiles. Typical applications include fabrication shops, tool-and-die operations, and maintenance facilities cutting structural steel, stainless tubing, exotic alloys, and non-ferrous materials. The flexible back type allows the blade to handle curved and contour cuts without premature fatigue cracking.

Blade installation and tensioning should be performed by a qualified machinist or metalworking technician with the bandsaw powered down and isolated from its power source.
