The STARRETT 16116 is a welded carbon steel bandsaw blade from the Duratec SFB series, designed for continuous cutting in stationary bandsaw applications. The blade measures 11 feet in length, 1 inch wide, and 0.035 inches thick, with a 6 teeth-per-inch (TPI) constant pitch configuration. The raker tooth set and straight tooth form deliver consistent chip removal during cuts through a range of materials. The flexible back construction allows the blade to track smoothly around bandsaw wheels without premature fatigue. This blade is installed by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance trades working with benchtop or floor-standing bandsaws.
The STARRETT 16116 is suited for cutting ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, plastic, and plywood. The 6 TPI constant pitch makes it a practical choice for general-purpose shop use where stock thickness varies and a single blade needs to handle multiple material types. It is appropriate for both production and job-shop environments where a pre-welded, ready-to-install blade reduces setup time. The toothed cutting edge and straight rake angle are designed for controlled, burr-minimizing cuts on flat or contoured workpieces.
Designed as a direct-fit welded replacement blade for stationary bandsaws that accept an 11-foot loop, 1 inch wide, 0.035 inches thick blade.
Bandsaw blade replacement should be performed by qualified shop personnel familiar with machine guarding requirements. Disconnect and lock out power to the bandsaw before removing the old blade or installing the new one. Verify wheel diameter, blade tracking, and blade tension settings per the saw manufacturer specifications before resuming operation. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled blade.
