The STARRETT 16112 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade built for demanding cutting applications in metal fabrication and industrial environments. Measuring 13 feet 3 inches in length, 1 inch wide, and 0.035 inches thick, this blade features a variable pitch of 3 to 4 TPI and an M42 high-speed steel tooth tip bonded to a flexible back. The variable pitch reduces vibration and noise during cuts, extending blade life and improving surface finish on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It is part of the Starrett Intenss series, engineered for aggressive material removal on structural steel, pipe, tubing, and solid stock.
This blade is suited for horizontal and vertical bandsaw machines used in commercial metal shops, maintenance facilities, and industrial fabrication environments. The 1-inch width and 13-foot 3-inch loop length fit mid-size to large production bandsaws. It handles both ferrous metals such as structural steel, alloy steel, and stainless, as well as non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, and copper. Raker tooth set and positive rake angle combine to deliver efficient chip clearance across a wide range of material cross-sections and wall thicknesses.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or upgrade blade for mid-size to large industrial bandsaws accepting a 13-foot 3-inch blade loop with a 1-inch width.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with blade tensioning and tracking procedures. Power down and lockout the bandsaw before removing the old blade or installing the new one. Use appropriate gloves when handling the blade, as tooth edges are sharp. Set blade tension and tracking per the saw manufacturer specifications before making a test cut.
