The STARRETT 15883 is a bi-metal welded bandsaw blade from the Intenss PRO series, designed for demanding metal-cutting applications in production and fabrication environments. The blade measures 13 feet 3 inches in length, 1 inch in width, and 0.035 inches in thickness. It runs a variable pitch of 6 to 10 TPI with a raker tooth set and a positive rake angle, combining aggressive chip removal with reduced vibration across a range of material thicknesses. Tooth tips are high speed steel, providing edge retention when cutting both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Licensed machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This blade is suited for vertical and horizontal bandsaws used in metal fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and industrial production settings. The variable pitch reduces harmonic vibration, which makes it effective when cutting varying cross-sections, structural shapes, and bundled stock. The Intenss PRO series is built for general-purpose ferrous and non-ferrous metal cutting, including mild steel, aluminum, copper, and similar materials. The straight tooth form and flexible back type allow consistent tracking on standard bandsaw wheels without excessive blade stress during operation.
Designed as an OEM-compatible replacement or aftermarket bandsaw blade for vertical and horizontal metal-cutting bandsaws that accept a 13-foot 3-inch by 1-inch blade. Suitable for cutting ferrous metal and non-ferrous metal applications.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or technician following the saw manufacturer's service procedures. Disconnect and lock out power to the bandsaw before removing the old blade or installing the new one. Verify blade tension, wheel tracking, and guide bearing clearance per the saw manufacturer's specifications before resuming operation. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled or uncoiled blade.
