The STARRETT 15760 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for continuous cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Part of the Intenss series, it measures 11 feet 5 inches in length, 1 inch in width, and 0.035 inches in thickness. The blade features M42 high-speed steel teeth with a variable pitch of 4 to 6 TPI and a positive rake angle, which helps reduce vibration, minimize heat buildup, and extend blade life during demanding production cuts. Raker tooth set and straight tooth form provide consistent chip clearance across a wide range of stock sizes. This blade is suited for installation by machinists and metal fabricators working with horizontal and vertical band saws in shop environments.
The STARRETT 15760 is designed for contour and straight cutting applications on ferrous metals such as structural steel, pipe, and bar stock, as well as non-ferrous materials including aluminum, copper, and brass. The variable pitch pattern makes it especially effective when cutting irregular cross-sections or bundles where a fixed-pitch blade would chatter. It is a practical choice for production shops, maintenance facilities, and job sites where a single blade needs to handle a mixed material workload without frequent changeovers.
Designed as an OEM-style welded replacement blade for band saws accepting a 1-inch-wide blade with an 11-foot 5-inch loop length.
Bandsaw blade installation and tensioning should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician with the saw fully powered down and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify wheel diameter and throat capacity against blade length and width before mounting. Inspect blade guides and thrust bearings for wear prior to installing a new blade, and confirm proper blade tension using the saw manufacturer's tensioning gauge to avoid premature blade fatigue or breakage.
