The STARRETT 15727 is a welded carbon steel bandsaw blade from the Duratec SFB series, designed for continuous contour cutting across a range of materials. At 8 feet 11 inches long and 0.032 inches thick, the blade fits standard bandsaw machines used in fabrication, metalworking, and woodworking shops. The 6 TPI constant-pitch tooth configuration delivers a consistent, moderate cut rate suited to both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and plywood. The raker tooth set and straight tooth form help manage chip evacuation and maintain blade tracking during extended cuts.
This blade is a fit for shop bandsaws in light industrial and trade environments where operators need a reliable all-purpose blade for contour work. Typical applications include cutting ferrous metal stock, aluminum, plastics, and composite sheet goods such as plywood. The flexible back type makes it well-suited to curved and radius cuts, not just straight stock work. One blade is supplied per package.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard stock blade for bandsaw machines accepting a 3/4 inch wide, 8 foot 11 inch loop blade with 0.032 inch thickness.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician with the machine fully de-energized and unplugged before blade removal or installation. Verify wheel tracking, blade tension, and guide bearing alignment after mounting the new blade. Always wear cut-resistant gloves when handling bandsaw blades. Follow the machine manufacturer's recommended tensioning procedure for 3/4 inch blade widths.
