The STARRETT 15590 is a welded carbon steel bandsaw blade from the Duratec SFB series, designed for continuous cutting in stationary bandsaw equipment. Measuring 56.875 inches in length and 0.25 inches wide with a 0.025-inch blade thickness, this blade runs a constant 10 teeth per inch (TPI) pitch with a raker tooth set and straight tooth form. The flexible back construction allows the blade to run smoothly around bandsaw wheels without fatigue cracking under normal operating loads. It is suited for trade shops, fabrication facilities, and production environments where consistent, repeatable cuts are required.
This blade is intended for contour cutting applications on a range of materials including ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, plastic, and plywood. The constant 10 TPI pitch delivers a smooth finish on light-gauge and medium-gauge stock. It fits bandsaws configured for blades approximately 4 feet 8-7/8 inches in length, a common size found in benchtop and mid-size floor-standing bandsaw units used in plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and general fabrication trades.
Designed as a welded loop replacement blade for stationary bandsaws accepting a blade length of approximately 56.875 inches (4 feet 8-7/8 inches), 0.25-inch width, and 0.025-inch thickness. Suitable for cutting ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, plastic, and plywood.
Bandsaw blade replacement should be performed by a qualified technician with the saw fully de-energized and unplugged before opening the blade guards. Blade tension and tracking should be adjusted per the saw manufacturer specifications before running the blade under load. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled or looped blade — carbon steel edges are sharp even before use. Verify blade width and length compatibility with the specific saw model prior to installation.
