The STARRETT 15514 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade from the Intenss series, built for continuous cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It measures 90 inches long and 0.5 inches wide with a blade thickness of 0.035 inches. The cutting edge runs at a constant 14 TPI pitch with a straight tooth form, raker tooth set, and positive rake angle. The teeth are made from M42 high speed steel, offering hardness and edge retention well-suited to production metal cutting environments. The flexible back allows the blade to run smoothly on standard bandsaw wheel configurations. Licensed HVAC technicians, pipefitters, machinists, and metal fabricators working in commercial and industrial shops are the primary installers and users of this blade type.
This blade is designed for contour cutting applications on both ferrous metals such as mild steel and stainless, and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and copper. It fits bandsaws with a 7 foot 6 inch blade length requirement. The constant pitch design at 14 TPI makes it most effective on solid stock and structural shapes in the small-to-medium cross-section range. It is well-suited for fabrication shops, HVAC contractors cutting metal duct and structural supports, plumbing shops, and general metalworking environments where consistent cut quality on mixed metal types is required.
Designed for bandsaws requiring a 7 foot 6 inch welded blade with a 0.5 inch width. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide clearance, and tension specifications on the host saw before installation.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with the host saw manufacturer guidelines. Disconnect and lock out power to the saw before removing the existing blade or installing a new one. Confirm proper blade tension according to the saw manufacturer specification and verify blade tracking before resuming cuts. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the blade, as the teeth present a laceration hazard during handling and installation.
