The STARRETT 15137 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade from the Intenss PRO-DIE series, designed for demanding contour cutting across a wide range of metals. It measures 7 feet 5 inches long and 1/2 inch wide, with a 0.035-inch thickness and a variable pitch of 6 to 10 TPI. The blade body is flexible back bi-metal construction, while the teeth are tipped with M42 high speed steel for extended edge life under hard-use conditions. This blade is suited for metal fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and industrial cutting operations where blade longevity and cut quality matter.
The 15137 is built for cutting steel, stainless steel, exotic steel, and non-ferrous metals. Its variable pitch tooth pattern reduces vibration and harmonic resonance during the cut, which improves surface finish and extends blade life on interrupted cuts and structural shapes. The raker tooth set and positive rake angle promote chip clearance and efficient material removal. This blade fits horizontal and vertical metal-cutting bandsaws that accept a 7 ft 5 inch welded loop in a 1/2-inch width.
Designed for metal-cutting bandsaws requiring a welded 1/2-inch wide blade in a 7 ft 5 inch loop length. Suitable for cutting steel, stainless steel, exotic steel, and non-ferrous metals as stated by the manufacturer.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician with the machine fully powered down and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify wheel diameter and blade guide spacing are compatible with the 1/2-inch blade width before installing. Tension the blade according to the bandsaw manufacturer specifications for the blade width. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled or looped blades.
