The STARRETT 14437 is a welded bandsaw blade from the Duratec SFB series, designed for continuous-loop cutting on stationary band saws. The blade measures 64 inches in length and 0.5 inches in width, with a thickness of 0.025 inches. It runs a constant 14 teeth per inch (TPI) with a raker tooth set and straight tooth form, delivering consistent chip removal on a range of materials. Both the blade body and tooth are carbon steel with a flexible back type. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tradespeople who work with ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, plastic, and plywood will find this blade suited to in-shop and on-site cutting tasks.
The 14437 is built for contour cutting applications. Its constant pitch and raker set make it a practical choice for general-purpose band saw work across ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, plastic, and plywood. The flexible carbon steel back allows the blade to track smoothly around band saw wheels without fatigue cracking during normal service cycles. It is sold as a single pre-welded loop, ready to mount without additional brazing or joining.
Designed as a direct-mount welded replacement blade for stationary band saws accepting a 64-inch loop, 0.5-inch wide by 0.025-inch thick blade profile.
Band saw blade installation should be performed by qualified personnel with the saw powered down and unplugged before blade removal or installation. Verify wheel diameter and blade guide clearances match the 0.5-inch blade width before mounting. Blade tension should be set per the saw manufacturer's specifications. Inspect weld integrity and tooth condition before first use.
