The STARRETT 13855 is a carbon steel band saw blade coil stock designed for continuous-length cutting applications in fabrication shops, HVAC shops, and metal trades. The coil measures 250 feet in length with a blade width of 0.5 inches and a blade thickness of 0.025 inches. At 14 teeth per inch with a constant pitch and raker tooth set, this blade delivers controlled, consistent cuts in a range of materials. The flexible back reduces blade fatigue during contour cutting operations, making it a practical choice for shops that cut their own blade lengths to fit multiple saws.
This coil stock is suited for trade and production environments where custom blade lengths are cut and welded in-house. Fabricators, HVAC technicians, and metalworking shops use coil stock to outfit multiple band saw machines from a single supply. The straight tooth form and raker set make it effective for general-purpose cutting in mild steel, tubing, and similar materials. The 250-foot coil provides enough stock for multiple blades, reducing downtime from frequent reordering.
Designed as a general-purpose coil stock blade for horizontal and vertical band saws that accept 0.5-inch wide blades. Cut to length and welded on-site to fit specific machine wheel diameters and throat capacities.
Blade cutting and welding should be performed by a qualified technician using a blade welder rated for carbon steel stock. De-energize and lock out the band saw before installing or changing blades in accordance with applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify blade tracking and tension according to the saw manufacturer specifications before resuming cuts. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coil stock, as the unsupported blade is under tension and can spring unpredictably.
