The STARRETT 13830 is a band saw blade coil stock designed for continuous-length cutting applications in fabrication, maintenance, and production environments. Supplied as a 100-foot coil, it allows technicians and machinists to cut blades to the exact length required for their saw. The blade measures 1/4 inch wide and 0.025 inches thick, with a 14 teeth-per-inch (TPI) constant pitch and a raker tooth set. The carbon steel construction with a flexible back makes it well suited to contour cutting operations on a wide range of materials.
This coil stock is used in shops and field applications where multiple blade lengths are needed or where custom-cut blades are preferred over pre-welded stock. The 1/4-inch width and 14 TPI configuration is a common choice for cutting curves and contours in wood, plastics, and softer non-ferrous materials. The flexible back reduces blade fatigue on tight-radius cuts. Machinists, metal fabricators, millwrights, and general maintenance technicians are the typical installers of band saw blades cut from this stock.
Designed as a coil-stock replacement for band saws accepting 1/4-inch wide blades. Cut and weld or braze to the exact length required by the specific saw model in use.
Blade cutting and joining from coil stock should be performed by a qualified machinist or technician familiar with band saw blade welding or brazing equipment. Always disconnect power to the band saw before removing the old blade or installing a new one. Ensure the finished blade length, tension, and tracking are set according to the saw manufacturer specifications before resuming operation. Use appropriate blade guides and guards as required by applicable machine safety standards.
