The STARRETT 12930 is a welded carbon steel bandsaw blade from the Duratec SFB series, designed for consistent performance in metal and material cutting applications. The blade measures 8 feet 11 inches in length and 0.75 inches in width, with a thickness of 0.032 inches. It runs a constant 10 teeth per inch (TPI) pitch with a raker tooth set and straight tooth form. The flexible back construction allows the blade to track smoothly on standard bandsaw wheels. Installation and blade changes are handled by experienced machinists, fabricators, or maintenance technicians working with horizontal or vertical bandsaws.
This blade is suited for cutting ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, plastic, and plywood, making it a versatile choice for machine shops, fabrication facilities, and maintenance environments. The constant pitch and raker set provide a controlled chip load and predictable cut finish across a range of material thicknesses. It is packaged as a single pre-welded loop, ready to mount without additional joining.
Designed as a replacement welded bandsaw blade for horizontal and vertical bandsaws accepting a blade length of 8 feet 11 inches and a blade width of 0.75 inches.
Blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or technician with the bandsaw fully powered down and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide spacing, and blade tension specifications on the host machine before mounting. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling uncoiled or pre-welded blades. Never exceed the maximum blade speed rated for the host saw.
