The STARRETT 12664 is a welded carbon steel bandsaw blade from the Duratec SFB series, designed for continuous-loop installation on stationary band saws in metal fabrication, woodworking, and general shop environments. The blade measures 10 feet 10.5 inches in overall length, 1 inch in width, and 0.035 inches in thickness, with a constant-pitch, 10 TPI raker tooth configuration. The straight tooth form and flexible back construction allow controlled contour cutting across a range of material types. Licensed trades and shop technicians rely on this blade for consistent performance in production and maintenance settings.
This blade is suited for cutting ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and plywood, making it a versatile choice for light industrial shops, HVAC fabrication benches, and plumbing or electrical trade shops that require occasional metal or plastic stock cuts. The constant 10 TPI pitch provides a balance between cut speed and finish quality on medium-thickness stock. It is packaged as a single welded loop, ready to mount on compatible band saw machines without additional joining.
Designed as a direct-mount welded bandsaw blade for stationary band saw machines accepting a 1-inch-wide blade with a 10-foot 10.5-inch loop length. Verify blade length, width, and thickness against machine specifications before installation.
Bandsaw blade changes should be performed by qualified shop personnel with the machine fully de-energized and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Blade tension and tracking adjustments must be set according to the band saw manufacturer's specifications. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling uncoiled or freshly removed bandsaw blades. Inspect blade guides, thrust bearings, and wheel tires for wear before mounting a new blade.
