The STARRETT 10045 is a carbon steel band saw blade in coil stock form, designed for cutting operations that require custom blade lengths. The coil measures 100 feet in length and 1 inch in width with a blade thickness of 0.035 inches. Running at 10 teeth per inch (TPI) with a constant pitch and raker tooth set, it delivers consistent chip clearance and smooth cutting performance across a range of materials. The straight tooth form and flexible back allow the blade to track properly on band saw wheels without premature fatigue or cracking during continuous use.
This coil stock is suited for metal fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments where technicians need to cut blades to specific lengths for various band saw configurations. The flexible back construction makes it appropriate for contour cutting applications. Installers and shop personnel can weld or braze individual blades from this coil using standard blade-welding equipment to produce finished blades in the required length for the machine in use.
Designed as a coil stock replacement or supply for band saws accepting 1 inch wide blades. Blade sections can be cut and welded to length for the specific wheel diameter and throat depth of the saw in use.
A licensed or trained metalworking technician should handle blade welding and tensioning. Power down and lock out the band saw before installing any blade section. Use a blade welder rated for the blade width and thickness, and verify weld integrity before running the saw under load. Follow the saw manufacturer guidelines for blade tension and tracking adjustment to avoid blade twist or wheel damage.
